  • Busy weekend

Another busy weekend but not on the imp, full days work to get Liams car rolling again as mum and dad taxi duties were mounting up and he needs to get to collega and work.

Small car vs modern crossover type 4x4 thing, 4x4 thing came off worse vs Suzuki Alto

No paint, fixed bumper, I miss workingwith plastic but it was fun welding it together.

Headlight obtained in speedy fashion as always by Thomsons Motor Factors locally. Supplied us imp parts since 70s till today, Tommy himself when he had shop as well, then John and now his son Seth. Top place, not a fancy website they just get the job done

Corner was beaten the crap out of.

Crash bar did its job though, I reckon thats what killed the other car.

OK, I fixed the bumper, beat on the wing a bit with the dolly, heat gun and much plastic merging on the bumper, repaired the crash bar, ew headlamp and back on raod

Headlight pain to align as it has a motor, sorted though

Tracking to have checked Monday in case wheel was clipped, again at local place that has been here for over 4 decades and is in fact next door to Thomsons

    SMS Tyres And Exhausts

Fantastic that we still have so many small businesses here with old fashioned values and great people, online sourcing has degraded the service so much and you cannot draw on the experience of the staff when buying. Online places can be a bit cheaper but you have to do the research yourself

Anyway, no paint or body done but back together.

Mind you, have had to rest early last night and all day today, mostly flat,

MOT next week, still needs horn which was placed horn upby Suzuki and like an imp will have filled with water, rsuted and now feeked. Some lessons never learned

Interesting that Halfords keep horns in stock, high and low note, only £7 quid. Still in demand on motorcycles apparantly !

Backto bed for more rest now, this getting old lark is no good
