  • USer tagging has now been enabled same as FB but on a forum :LIKE

You can now "TAG" users whose attention you want just like in Facebook (well more like twitter i think, I am not a twitty fan).

So say you make a post and want to get someones attention in a post, say what do you think, place the @ symbol then the user name

Example take note John A. Ross PMCG Colimp66 you should see a drop down of suggested names as you type to pick or alternatively just press return.

I can have a small video created to show the feature working if it is requested by users

Another feature inherited from out social media buddies in an attempt to pull them into a structure of sensible posting order haha

        Nothing here, strange.

Really need this unread/mark read thing in, maybe we could ask for a bid on the work on one of those s/w sites that do it?
Get some chap in India to do it for £12.55 ;)

I'm finding it a pain showing up in the first page then having to click through maybe 4 pages or more.

Funny guy if I cant get head round it we can get Mick to add a toolbar and the relevent JSON queries to a sub nav bar, a lot has changed since last we did any of this in earnest

I can add these just now as all the queries exist in other features such as activity stream and so on, but the modules are not as friendly as vB4 was, simpler but they assume too much.

If we can avoid editing too many templates or customising them that would be best as we get regular updates from the vendor and screwing with the DB can royally feek that up. Other path is to record all manual mods, revert to standard, update and apply all mods manually again.

If we can get it to a self contained module we can just turn on/off, upgrades would be smooth and ading back in easy.
