Knowing how much you like some of my varied work, thought you might like this John.
Think they got their moneys worth out of this bearing (it's 5" diameter )
New one to be made. Not cheap though best part of £100 if l just got that thickness but need to have something to hold on so basically £180.

No l said it was 5" dia ?
It was off a large cardboard box making machine , bit of a nice repair job , nothing available off the shelf , obviously steel having worn through bearing there's been metal to metal contact so have to check diameters and wear and make bearing using my experience as to what sizes l can get away with , no doubt bit of fettling required , would be better to bore out the plate that bearing fits in but it's 5ft long by 18" wide and 2" thick , too big to man handle around our units even if it could sit on machine bed.
Job will give machine another 20 years (not worried after that)
