One of the many forum features here is tagging, pretty much like most applications these days.
Say you want to get a users attention.
Example calling Mr Ross.
Use the @ symbol and directly after typing it (no spaces) he user name. John A. Ross
They are now tagged and IF they have notifications turned on, they will get an email or notification they have been mentioned in that post.,
Frequent visitors, not so useful, not so frequent visitors, yeah that helps.
