Cooeee ! Hello boys I keep thinking about buying a small lithium based jump starter cum power bank thingies. I dont mind spending a few Robert's on a decent one, but don't want to buy blind. Can anyone recommend a decent one from personal experience please ?
I've used one as a back up on my travels for a few years now and found it to be very reliable and effective - and especially good value if you're lucky enough to buy during a VAT free offer.
Thank you, men. I will take a look. There are a few out there. The NOCO ones are expensive and I was thinking of around £100 spend, so the Clark one might do me nicely.
Hi. If you already have jump leads what about a large motorbike lithium battery? https://www.motorsportgoetz.com/Batt...ght-High-Power This will start a 1500 goldwing if you cross reference it with its lead acid equivalent YTX14-BS this battery is 240 amps cranking.
Oh my, the responsibility! Let us know how you get on with it. Hopefully you won't be disappointed.
I like the idea of a motorbike battery also but for my purposes the Machinemart style package is more convenient as an all rounder - everything conveniently at hand to power the laptop or phone (or even the caravan in an emergency) in a small package and there as a backup to start the car if need be.
