So this little tool is not wide enough to measure a brake disk.

John A. Ross How about an add on to a standard vernier such as the laser one.

I'm thinking of returning this and getting a real didigtal disc one but looking at that little Laser add on tool we (well you :)) could maybe make something?

Not sure what the MOT requirement is, middle of disc, inner edge, outer edge or worst across surface.

As we can use standard vernier with a mod we can just mod one of the ones lying around, I found another one in a storage bin. How many of these did we actually buy over the years they keep turning up !

We just need to take the die crinder to the inside edge of the jaes so it can miss the outer disc lip and crustiness

Would think for MOT it will be anywhere and come into play if they are close to the limit then they migh pay more attention.
SV53 measures 24mm with minimum 25.4 so is a fail for me but I may be measuring wrongly.

Plenty analogue ones but the digital ones are more expensive and they just have lobes on a standard caliper.

I'd think they would if a big lip.

I wont change anyway, would tell Gordon Ive checked but want to make sure rest of car is ok before fitting new discs, pads are lots of life.
Brake pipes needs some love too and tyres are well tired.
