  • Heated washers - a how to

This is real easy to knock up . All you need is some standard 15mm copper pipe and copper brake pipe , Kunifer pipe is too stiff so it must be the copper type .
Get your length of 15mm pipe stood up in a vice and wrap the brake pipe around as tight as possible .

Cut the ends of the brake pipe to around 2 inches long and add a slight flair and you end up with this . The longer the coil the better within reason , 5 inch is good enough .

Solder this to the 15mm pipe , just the ends and a bit in the middle will do

Cut the 15mm pipe to the required length and solder on a compression ring on both ends , this heap doesnt have a factory valve , just a plumbing screwdriver one so i used the compression gland on one end C/W nut , you wont do this .

Mine ended up like this , again yours wont need the nut on one end , just the soldered on compression ring

And finally fit it in line with your heater pipe by cutting the hose and using a few jubilee clips , connect your washer bottle pipe to the brake pipe and voila you have heated washers . ignore my other plumbing , its for the front rad
