On mine as well as many other cars the centre card boot trim that sits on the tank and also goes up the bulkhead gets very knackered and often warps all out of bonk .
So i decided it to do it in two sections and not to use card at all .
First off the back is a sheet of fibreglass we use at work , light , flexible and paintable .
This was cut for just the bulkhead .
For the fuel tank boot base i put strips of fireproof foam in the slots and cut down an Imp rear shelf matt so it goes almost to the bulkhead . the fibreglass back borad when fitted keeps it from moving .
Whilst i was at it i did away with the tabs that hold the board in , bent the tabs down one last time and added small threaded studs and knurled brass nuts , board comes out in seconds with no more tab bending .
Pics say 1000 words so here you go
Two large holes are for my fuse box
Added sticky back foam on the rear as sound deadening
Foam strips fill the tank slots and a rubber disc on the sender for protection ----------------, rubber mat cut and fitted
Back board sprayed and fitted , fuse box cover added and a non slip mopar matt for the boot base
